Sovereign God

“The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away” Job 1: 21

Job

Job faced greatest crisis of the life. In a matter of few hours Job’s life was shattered and the world  collapsed around him. He lost all his properties and his ten children.

Yet he did not lose heart! He had the guts to praise God. He could say the harsh fact of life that he came into this world naked and he will go in the same way. Nothing in this world is his property. ‘God had given it and now He has taken it away.

He had the sense of God’s sovereignty. He trusted that God is on the throne and he is still ruling, no matter what happened around him.

This is the key recipe for strength during crisis. No one could face worst crisis than Job. If we too cultivate the wonder for God’s sovereignty, we will tide over any crisis.

P.S: This is written after I heard the news of the demise of my father and when I was travelling to my native place. Job’s confidence strengthened me during this crisis.
